Packaging
1. The Box
All our teapots come in a brocade box. It's the standard practice in the Yixing teapot world—even the humblest apprentice piece gets one.
To be honest, we did think about dropping the brocade box altogether.
Inexperienced buyers are often impressed—or even intimidated—by a fancy brocade box. In the hands of many resellers, the box serves just one purpose: sheer pretension. A cheap $30 wholesale pot dressed up in a fancy box can easily be flipped for $200.
As for us? We have absolute confidence in our work. The teapot itself is stunning enough on its own; it doesn't need an overdressed box to prove its worth. Going without the box would be greener, and it would save a real chunk on international shipping—shipping a pot from Yixing to New York without that bulky box saves roughly $10 in air freight alone.
But in the end, we kept it.
Why? Because opening a nice box is just a small joy that comes with receiving a teapot. We simply picked the best‑looking brocade boxes we could find—the ones that feel worthy of our work.
Yet, we decided to keep it in the end. Not because it lets us charge more, but because opening a beautiful, well-crafted box is simply part of the small joy of receiving a handcrafted teapot. We simply picked the best‑looking brocade boxes we could find—the ones that feel worthy of our work. Nothing more, nothing less.

2. Safety
The brocade box already offers basic protection, but that alone isn't enough.
Inside the shipping carton, we skip the usual plastic bubble wrap and styrofoam blocks. Instead, we use Eco‑friendly cushioning materials that absorb shocks just as well— without leaving you with a mountain of non-recyclable white plastic trash to throw away.

3. Earth-Friendly
I’m a Yixing local, and I make teapots for a living. Growing up here, I was always taught that Zisha clay is a finite gift from nature—once it’s gone, it’s truly gone. Because of that, we care about the footprint we leave behind more than most.
When it comes to packing, we avoid single-use plastics and foams as much as humanly possible. Recycled paper wrap, paper tape, and water-soluble starch packing peanuts—these are our daily studio essentials. Even if they cost more than standard plastic packing supplies, we gladly pay the difference.
If you have better ideas on sustainable packaging, please let us know. We’re always learning as we go.
